Thanks! If you keep lookin at 'em, I'll keep makin' em
I think I've seen your art before, and I love your women. *_*
The shading and proportions are excellently coordinated, even though the latter are a little crazy in some places you brought them together very gracefully. And did I mention I love the shading?
Also candles. Very well done drawing all around. :)
You possibly have on deviantART, and I'm glad.
Thank you very much! My proportions can be quite off-hand sometimes and I see that. I try to make things wild but easy on the eyes.
Very cool
Very well done. You seem to have accomplished everything you set out to based on your author's comments, and elsewhere there isn't anything to complain about in the picture itself. The style is great, colors are great, theme is excellent. No major critical shortcomings as far as I can tell.
Keep up the excellent work. :)
Thank you, very much. With comments like that, my head is going to swell like the breast of the mother in my picture.
I like it.
I usually don't review these sorts of pieces because I'm not sure what sort of guideline to use, but I was actually more taken with this than I thought I would be. It has a nice even amount of light and dark which is nice, and although the texture is a little heavy I feel that it adds a sort of charm to it. Sort of like it was painted on a bedroom wall, the kind with the raised texture.
Anyway, nice work. :)
Thank you
I kinda like the texture style it seems to give something differant, i tend to use something alot in differant art pieces of mine, anyways thank you for the review.
~X~
Love it :)
I love this style, it's very classic somehow, very calculated and clean yet still looking gritty and organic. Nice use of colors too, seems I usually see more muted tones with this kind of art.
Keep up the good work. :)
Thanks a lot, it was originally just a doodle in a sketchbook, but I colored it for fun. Usually i like to use bright colors but I can see how this would also look good muted.
Wow!
It looks just like her! It could still use some work, but I never expect a portrait to look 100% perfect. Still, very very good. Keep it up. :)
Lol nah it wasnt supposed to be finished, It only took an hour
Lovely
The colors in this are really stunning, and the contrast is really nice. All I can say is just... wow, this really caught my eye, very intense.
Btw, is that colored pencil? or watercolor?
hey, THX ! ^^ neither colored pencil nor watercolor but pastels =)
i'm not very happy with the sky's result even tho' i loved the water.
Again, THX! for the review
Dynamic :)
The first thing I thought of when I saw this wasn't that it was a "feminist propaganda" or anything about "man-hating" (man-hating material and feminist messages don't tend to be so open to interpretation--heck, the artist might even be CONDONING verbal abuse of women); it actually reminds me of an article I read recently about "slut-bashing," where a person is ridiculed for alleged behavior (or lack thereof) and called a slut or whore, and it can be extremely harmful and even lead to suicide.
I'm not going to interpret the piece, since for all I know the only purpose was to entertain with no deep inner "meaning" intended. I will say I noticed the repetition of words, since as someone else pointed out there are many slurs out there to choose from, especially targeting women. Altogether I loved it, very colorful and strong. Good work. :)
Thanks for your refreshing review. Whether anyone believes it or not, I had no feminist message in mind while making this piece. I chose a woman as the 'victim' simply because I could think of more curse words for women when I made this. If I were to redo this piece with a specific message in mind, I think I would have made the guy another girl. :p
